You know you’ve found the unique voice of a particular story when you think, “Wow, this is really working.”

And then you check how far along you are in the plot… and how much of the story you must rewrite in the new-found voice.

Urgh!

I’ll just keep writing until I reach the pearly gates of THE END. And then I’ll turn around and go back to the beginning.
